I think that V for Vlog is kind of original. I think Derren is popular in America. You say you can't be hypnotized but you keep going to his shows. I find what he does interesting at times, and I did see the special where he played Russian Roulette, but I've never really watched his shows. I have no real idea why.

You shouldn't be so afraid of being picked. Everyone's nervous to get on stage, but what's the worst that can happen, eh? If anything you'll be amusing people! ;D
I'd never heard of him before but after watching your video I looked him up and watched a couple Youtube videos of him. He seems awesome! You're lucky you get to see all these fantastic shows. And don't worry, I'd be terrified of being picked and looking like an idiot too! :)
Ahh yeah I didn't think many Americans would have! But I'm glad you looked him up and liked him! And thank you, indeed I am very lucky but I'm sure you'll get the chance to see shows someday too!
If you ever do get picked by seat you can just quickly change with your boyfriend so he'll have to go up! or you could just say "no" I doubt your under any legal obligation to go up. And if you do go up, figure out his trick and call him on it! (you'll never get called up agian!)
