I've worked with kids of various ages due to training as a classroom assistant a few years ago and my favourite age group has got to be 6-7 year olds. They are just plain hilarious! I really really miss the kids I had the pleasure of working with and just hope that they miss me a little bit too. Though I'm sure they've completely forgotton about me by now.
If I'm lucky enough, I'd love to have my own kids someday. I'm insanely curious as to what they will look like and what their personalities will be like too. I even have a list of potential names lined up! I'm not the only one to have thought about this... right?

I for one are not good with kids, but its amazing that you are! I look up to those ppl that can connect with them, cus its not easy! (:

Aww tell me about it! It is so not easy! It really just depends on the kids lol!
DeleteOH DEFINITELY NOT. Sorry- I do in fact think about babies a little more than is necessary. I can't wait to see what my kids are like and what they'll be called.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry I think about it a bit too often.
Aww well I'm glad I'm not the only one lol!
DeleteI have my baby names all lined up, and I'm not even sure I want children!
ReplyDeleteHaha well it's good that you're prepared if you do want them!
DeleteYou're not the only one, having kids is the only thing in my life that I'm absolutely sure that I want to do! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the only thing I'm sure about too!
DeleteI'm not that much of a kids person though I'm curious as to how my kids would turn out.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've been volunteering at an orphanage/daycare, which has made me slightly fonder of them :P
I was the same you know, once I started working with them I became fonder of them too!
DeleteNope plenty of people have thought about that kind of thing. Despite my recent positive experience with babies, I still don't think I'm all that sold on the idea of kids. So far the number of bad kids in my life far outweighs the number of good kids. You can only tell yourself "Mine won't be like that" so much.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather fight for the chance of having one good kid than letting a bunch of bad kids stop me from having any at all
DeleteWhen my brother was that age he got his head stuck in the washing rails! Oh the joys!x
ReplyDeleteOh dear lol!
DeleteBack in the days, in my teens or something, I'd have endless lists with names for my future children! But, knowing I wouldn't be having children in a while, I wrote stories using those names.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I totally get your curiosity as to what they will look like? Whose nose will they have? Whose chin will they have? Whose eyes will they have? And so on.
Haha I've actually tried to not use the names I like in stories etc because I don't want to associate them with anyone, not even fictional characters lol!
DeleteAnd I'm glad you get my curiosity! :)
I worked in summer camps with kids 6-8, and I agree: they're awesome. Adorable and hilarious and it's so fun to see their personalities already forming :)
ReplyDeleteYou're definitely not alone in the names! I've obsessively made baby name lists since I was about ten XD

Aww yes exactly, it's amazing how wrong their personalities develop :)
DeleteHaha I have too!
I love my kids more than life itself, however, I'd love to strangle them sometimes. Each one has their own personality, their own looks, their own everything. Sometimes I think, "these are not my children". lol.
ReplyDeleteI connect better when they got older. I love teenage kids. I have a two year old and can't for her to get a little older. lol
Haha I'm sure I'll be the exact same! I'm sure they can be very trying at times!
DeleteI definitely have a list of names. Including middle names. I went all out.
ReplyDeleteKids are so cute. That's so cool you got to work with them in a classroom! I bet they still remember you. I still remember all of my student teachers :)
You're not alone. I have middle names picked out too!
DeleteAww thanks! I hope so, it was a lot of fun working with them :)
Not much of a kids person. Sure I can get along with them, I just don't see me having kids of my own really.
ReplyDeleteAww a lot of people feel that way
DeleteHello, Fellow Challenger, from #401-Rockin'Chair Reflections! Don't worry, the kids will remember you -- at the oddest times. It's amazing to me, still, when a child comes up to me to remind of something I told them, years ago! You'll be a great Mom.
ReplyDeleteAww hello, and thank you, that means a lot!
DeleteKids are fun once they are mostly autonomous and can converse with you; they say hilarious things at times.
ReplyDeleteHaha I agree, I didn't really like working with the super young ones that much for that exact reason =/
DeleteHi, Hazel, a beautiful sensitive post... so pleased to meet you. You'll make a wonderful mommy to the lovely children you will have some future day. Best regards to you. Ruby
ReplyDeleteAww thank you, that's very sweet of you to say!
DeleteHaving kids must be the craziest experience in anyone's life, especially for females... I mean, a human being -grows inside of you- ... surreal is an understatement.
ReplyDeleteLol yeah it does sound very surreal when you say it like that!
DeleteYou're not the only one to have thought of that, no. I don't plan on having kids but I have a list of kid names anyway, cause I just can't help but wonder!
ReplyDeleteHaha I'm glad! But yeah, it's always good to have them just in case :)
