I hope this doesn't happen again anytime soon!
I left the warm living room to go to the bathroom and I had that lightheaded feeling I usually get when I stand up too quickly. But once the cold air of the bathroom washed over me, my body started to shudder and jerk. Though my vision was blurred I could still make out where I was headed - straight for the bath!
In my confused state I dropped my phone, the sickening crack no more than a faint whisper as I simultaneously banged into the shower door. It was inevitable that I was losing control, the increased shuddering and jerking of my body told me that. I wasn't panicking though, mainly because the weird movements I was doing reminded me of that "Walk like an Egyptian" dance. And with that thought, my legs buckled and I landed right smack inbetween the bath and the toilet. Niiicce. That will teach me for scoffing drunks passing out in distusting places!!
Of course my mum came running when she heard the "thud" of my body making contact with the ground. AND LAUGHED WHEN SHE SAW ME! Not that I cared though because I was laughing too as I still had the Egyptian dance moves running through my mind. Afterwards, I was completely fine but my phone had broke apart and its battery had skidded across the floor in all the excitment. I was able to fix it, though strangely it thought it was 2009...
I think it's got brain damage.
oh, be careful next time, dear!
ReplyDeleteIt’s a GIRL Thing
I'll try! Though I can't help it when it happens lol
DeleteOuch is right. I used to get light headed like that a lot when I was younger and a few times my vision went nearly black but I never fell down. Doesn't happen now though and I don't know what changed. Maybe I'm too old to get up so fast.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been really scary! I'm glad you don't still suffer from them though :)
Deleteomg-
ReplyDeletei`m sorry but the description was a bit funny - no offence though =)
and take care
Haha don't worry! :)
DeleteO.o
ReplyDeleteAre you okay??
I remember how a few people fainted in assembly..
LOL @ your phone. :P
Thanks for your concern but I'm grand! And so is my phone lol
DeleteOh my gosh! That is really terrifying but also quite hilarious. Hahahaha I laughed out loud when you described your Egyptian dance. At leas you didn't faint and lose consciousness!
ReplyDeleteThat's what made me laugh too! And then my legs buckled lol! I did faint before, it's actually pretty funny now when I think about it...
DeleteLol! You are probably the only person who can write a funny post even after breaking her phone! =) Poor phone. May its brain rest in piece. =D
ReplyDeleteHaha maybe it's because my phone is okay after its ordeal, but if it was broken beyond repair then I doubt I'd have been in the mood to right this post!
Deletelmao @ your mom. Seems like something I would do :P I hate when I get lightheaded its a scary feeling for me. Be more careful next time :)
ReplyDeleteHaha it'd probably be something I'd do too!
DeleteMy phone constantly falls apart, and when I put it back together recently, it told me that it was 2005. I think it shows a really big difference in when our phones were made. I'm glad you escaped relatively unharmed though, and you have a cool mother to just laugh at you after that. I hope I can be half as cool as that if I ever end up a parent.
ReplyDeleteLol thanks, I'm glad both me and my phone came out unscathed too! And I hope I'm a cool parent too someday like her :)
DeleteThis happened to me a couple of years ago. I woke up with a bloody nose and my willy hanging out of my trousers. I had passed out while using the facilities and had hit the door on the way down. I'm glad it was at home and not in a bar.
ReplyDeleteAww George I'm sorry, I'm glad it happened at home as well!

DeleteThat has happened to me, too!! And not only once but so many times. D:
ReplyDeleteAww I'm sorry to hear that! But I'm also glad I'm not the only one that suffers from this!
DeleteYou might need to put the phone "down" (like they did with old yeller).
ReplyDeleteHaha perhaps it is time I got a new one
DeleteLove this blog post! A really interesting read! Followed!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Glad you enjoyed! And thanks for following :)
DeleteI'm really clumsy too. it happens.
ReplyDeleteThis wasn't clumsiness though, just dizziness lol
DeleteSo glad you are okay. The only time I ever passed out was after getting blood drawn at the doctors office. I do NOT do well with needles. That had to be scary. Hugs
ReplyDeleteAww I'm sorry, I'm actually okay with needles! Yeah I'm grand thanks :)
DeleteMy mother would pay no attention to the whole event.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that, though I'm sure she would :)
Deletefeeling your pain been there done that and even manage to do it in a walmart no less. glad you are ok but the poor phone did it need a funeral or did it recover
ReplyDeleteOh dear that would have been embarrassing! Hope you were okay. Yeah the phone recovered thank goodness!

DeleteI dont know who you are but thats funny and im sorry i had a laugh, hope you're okay lol
ReplyDeleteHaha that's alright, and yeah, I'm okay :)
DeleteSounds like me. Being too tall has it's disadvantages when standing up.
ReplyDeleteAlso, my phone does the same thing when I drop it. It's a miracle it still works.
It's a miracle my phone still works too, I've dropped it so many times! It's one tough cookie! And I don't think height as anything to do with it coz I'm a tiny 5 foot 3! You just have longer to fall lol :P
DeleteOHMYGOD THAT HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME. well not the falling down by the toilet part but you get the picture :D like your vision goes black?
ReplyDeleteI hope you're ok and that it doesn't happen again!!
Aww I'm sorry it happens to you too! I'm grand thanks :)
