Moving Again

Hello everyone,

I started a new blog Muffliato months ago and to be honest, I was disappointed and sad that only 17 out of my 231 followers followed me there. To all those that did follow me, thank you, it meant a lot to me. I know that there was a chance that my post saying I had moved didn't pop up in your blog feeds but if that did happen, in the two months since I've last posted here, you didn't feel the need to check out where I was? Twas slightly heartbreaking.

It doesn't matter now though, as I've moved to Wordpress. I just like the layouts/themes better there. To those that are interested in what I write and want to follow me again, you can check out my Wordpress blog here: http://pablosangel.wordpress.com/ and add me in your google reader or dashboard by adding the url. I've seen other bloggers move to Wordpress successfully so hopefully mine will be a success story too. I also won't hold it against you if you decide not to follow me anymore either. I've learned that genuine readers are better than having lots of followers.

A New Start

Hello everyone,

A while ago I became very insecure with my writing/blogging style and became so jealous of other bloggers who seemed to write so effortlessly that I just had to take a break. Like Charlotte, I liked the idea of making my blog more of an online diary and that is just what I did. I made a secret blog to try out this new way of blogging and I liked it so much that I just kept doing it and I couldn't be bothered to update this one anymore. I feel bad that I kept all of you in the dark for so long but I hope you can understand that I just needed to get my head together and find my mojo again.

It took me a long time to come to terms with making my new blog public and because it's been so long I'm quite nervous of you all reading my ramblings again. The new blog can be found here and is called Muffliato in honour of my love of Harry Potter and because it felt like an appropriate name for a secret blog. I hope you all love it as much as I do as I won't be updating on this blog anymore.

EDIT: My new blog should now be visable to everyone and you should be able to leave comments now too. I guess no Grand Opening ever runs smoothly!

London Calling

Next month, Paul and I will be paying a wee visit to London. We were just planning on just going to the Harry Potter Studio Tour for my 21st birthday but we decided to add on a few more days to explore the city too.

So tell me English friends of mine, is London easy to navigate? Are the subways complicated? It's just we looked up a journey and there were four trains within a minute of each other going to the same destination. Would it matter which one we got? Is it like a normal train station that has notice boards with train arrivals etc?

We're going to look like such tourists...

Olympic Closing Ceremony

As I stayed up and watched the opening ceremony, I had to stay up and watch the closing ceremony too. I thought it was only two and a half hours long so I wasn't too happy that they dragged it on for nearly three and a half! It was basically just a big party with lots of singers and bands performing. Some were great. Some were shit.

The good included Muse, Oasis, Brian May, Take That, Madness, Russell Brand and the Spice Girls. Though Posh looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but there! The bad included Ed Sheeran, The Kaiser Chiefs, George Micheal, Annie Lennox and Jessie J. Seriously, she took over everything!! I was so annoyed when she started singing We Are The Champions with Brian May - they could have just played Freddie's version! There were other singers like One Direction, Emeli Sande, Fat Boy Slim, PetShopBoys and The Who etc but they were inconsequential to me.

I like that they included Churchill and BritPop but alas no Dr Who. I also felt that instead of letting singers like Jessie J perform all night they could have played full versions of Bowie, Queen and Lennon instead. I think it would have been miles better. I also had no idea what the giant octopus was about.

Overall it was a good show I think, though they seriously dragged it on and on. Also, why were so many people shocked that Prince Harry's real name is Henry? Did no one else know this?

Olympic Fever

I am very happy to see Great Britain doing so well in the Olympics. I didn't think they would do that well because they never really do but I thought the added pressure of the games being on their home turf might have been too much for them. Though I've been pleasantly surprised! Let's just hope it lasts!

Though I do hate how the BBC would cover one sport for so long and then, when it's nearly over or starting to get interesting they turn to something else! Tis very frustrating. Especially since I only like a few sports anyway!
